Welcome to the Manayunk Sport and Social Club Coed Dart League! This league is all about fun, competition, and teamwork. The format includes weekly matches with a total of 5 games. Each match will feature 2 games of Cricket, 2 games of 501, and a 5th game of choice. Teams will consist of 4 players, and there must always be at least 1 female player in every game. This is a "sport" for all levels of play from beginner to advanced. We also provide instruction to beginner participants.
General League Rules:
1. Team Composition
- Each team consists of recommended of at least 5 players
- Each game will be played by 4 players with at least 1 female per game.
2. Match Format
- Each weekly match consists of 5 total games:
- 2 Games of Cricket
- 2 Games of 501
- 1 Game of Choice (Team's choice, must be selected prior to the start of the match)
3. Match Timing
- Each game will be played with a maximum of 15 minutes for all players to complete their turns.
- Teams should arrive promptly. Any team that is more than 10 minutes late will forfeit the first game of the night.
4. Scoring System
- Cricket and 501 will follow traditional dart scoring rules.
- Cricket: Points are scored by hitting numbers (15-20 and bullseye). The goal is to close all the numbers (3 hits) and have the highest score.
- 501: Each player starts with 501 points. Subtract points based on darts thrown. The goal is to reduce the score to zero, with the last dart needing to hit a double.
- Game of Choice: This game can be selected from a variety of dart formats (e.g., 301, Around the World, Killer, etc.),but it must be agreed upon by both teams before starting.
5. Game Setup
- Each team should have 4 players available to play each week. If a team does not have enough players (e.g., 1 female), they will forfeit the game.
- The first team to throw will be determined by a coin toss.
6. Dartboard Etiquette
- Players must stand behind the throw line when throwing darts.
- Only 1 player per team should be throwing at a time.
- Darts should be retrieved only once all players have finished throwing.
7. Substitutions
- Teams may substitute players before the match begins. Substitutions are not allowed once a match has started.
