Saturday, December 11 at 8pm - Ugly Sweater Party at Bayou:
Are you sick of the office parties? Looking for a fun holiday party that encourages you to really let loose? Well how about this: Ugly-Holiday-Sweater-Kareoke-Smackdown! Saturday, December 11th, The Bayou in Manayunk wants to see your most hideous, silly, light up, fuzzy, throw-back, Christmas tree, Menorah-clad sweaters deck the halls of our bar!
We want to really celebrate the joys of the season so this extravaganza will go all night! Party starts at 8pm, karaoke begins at 10pm, hosted by your favorite DJ Nubz… Drink to the holidays with $4 Jingle Bombs all night (What’s a jingle bomb? Whipped Cream Vodka dropped into Orange Juice) and of course, $2.50 Miller Lites!
You can sign-up for the karaoke smackdown as an individual or group starting at 10pm. All singers have a chance to win top prizes: a custom MillerLite Home Dart Board and 75-yr commemorative Eagles neon or good try prizes: T-shirts, holiday goodies and more!

Friday, December 17, 2010 - Toys for Tots Drive at The Bayou
We love to pack the place with beer drinkers and exciting crowds, however the holiday season really does mean a lot to the staff and patrons of the Bayou Bar & Grill. Each year we have a toy drive for the non-profit Toys for Tots, run by the U.S. Marine Corps.
Friday, December 17 from 8-11pm we are asking everyone to bring an unwrapped toy to the Bayou to be donated to the Toys for Tots program. Each person that brings a toy will be given a free drink and placed into a raffle, with TWO chances to win, a pair of tickets to the Manayunk NYE Passport Party! Prizes are valued at over $250 and the New Year’s Eve of your life!
Miller Lites will be $2.50 all night long, come in a little before the Toys for Tots party starts and enjoy the original $1 U-Call-It Friday Happy Hour. Friday, December 17, wind-down and help make a difference for a needy child.
You may drop off toys to the Bayou at any point before the event, but will only receive your drink ticket Friday, December 11. ONE DRINK TICKET PER PERSON, regardless of how many toys you bring.
Sunday, December 19, 2010 - West Philadelphia Toy Sorting & Giveaway
Join Manayunk Sport and Social volunteers as we help the Philadelphia Salvation Army sort and hand out toys for the holiday season to needy families! For more information on volunteering email: info@manayunksportandsocial.com! Their Thanksgiving event, which M.S.S.C. was able to send volunteers for was a huge success! What is Sunday FUNDAY?
The glorious holiday at the end of every week to celebrate the end of a long and tiring 6 days. On this day, its observers are to completely relax in whichever way they see fit. If it consists of throwing back some beers with friends, playing board games in a park, or indulging in any other substances with peers, it is a full day of fun and relaxation. Most events start in the early afternoon, and end in time for all participants to get to bed at a reasonable hour to prepare for the beginning to yet another long week. The MSSC can recommend the best way to do this:
Start out early at the CACTUS CANTINA for the best brunch that Manayunk has to offer with 1/2 priced Sangria & fruit infused mimosas and then go right next door to the Bayou for the BIG show- NFL Sundays where the Bayou has the NFL Ticket on 25 tv's with EVERY game and $1.50 drafts, $2 Miller Lite bottles and $4 pizza. It's Quizzo Time
That's right every Wednesday night at the Bayou a variety of wacky guest host will be reading of questions for the best quizzo in Manayunk. The questions range from pop culture to world history and the prizes range from t-shirts to happy hours. The deal of all deals, the Bayou will have $1 Domestic Bottles & Drinks from 10:00pm to 12:00am. So test your knowledge with the Bayou Boys every Wednesday at 10:00pm and enjoy the friendliest service around.
Thirsty Thursdays
The Bayou is proud to have $2 Thursdays. Every Thursday, they will have $2 import and domestic bottles and drafts, top shelf drinks including red bull and so to be famous meatball sandwiches. There will be live music from the areas best local cover bands.
