Internship:

The Manayunk Sport and Social Club would be an applicable internship for students who are studying marketing, communications, sports marketing-management, recreation and several other fields. Manayunk Sport and Social Club provides an active opportunity for students to gain exposure and experience in a wide variety of recreation programming, facilities and services.

Interns will participate in a comprehensive program that ranges from personnel, facility, risk management, fitness/wellness, sports, marketing, special events and professional development opportunities.

Marketing students will be responsible for understanding the organization’s strategy and design and our competitive advantages in the marketplace. They will assess business developments and trends, identify key market areas and new strategic opportunities, and develop and implement outreach campaigns. They will also assist with developing sales and technical promotional materials.

Responsibilities:

Assist MSSC management in administrative tasks essential to maintaining league
Assist MSSC management in daily communications efforts for current season
Participate in league marketing sweeps; social media marketing, direct communications, business-to-business outreach, community outreach marketing
Host/Represent MSSC at organization’s planned social events and local community events

ON-SITE:

Maintaining MSSC policies on-site and acting as liaison between organization, officials, and players

Field Set-up and preparations for games

Checking in players and making Announcements for organization

Recording and delivering game scores to MSSC office

Oversees that games are carried out in a timely and appropriate manner
