   For almost a decade the Manayunk Sport and Social Club has been Philadelphia's largest and most popular organizer of coed adult sports leagues and social events. The Manayunk Sport and Social offers the largest selection of coed leagues, events, and activities in Philadelphia and we continue to grow thanks to our loyal members just like you. The Manayunk Sport and Social is the league that puts the social in the sport.

    Depending on the time of the year in Philadelphia, you can sign up for certain sports like coed football, coed hockey, coed softball, coed dodgeball, coed soccer, coed volleyball, coed darts, and single gender basketball. Leagues are generally 6-9 weeks long and follow the calender winter, spring, summer, and fall. 

    Manayunk Sport and Social is ALL about the recreational league experience. We offer skilled levels from recreational to competitive but the majority of our players and teams sign and play in the recreational level. There are many sport coed leagues in Philadelphia but we are the sport and social club that emphasizes fun first. The most distinguishing characteristic of the MSSC is that we actively promote individuals to register for our coed leagues as we create entirely new teams from scratch. We will get you on the field or on the court with a hole new group of friends as long as you are somewhat flexible where and when you can play in the Philadelphia area.

    Over a thousand teams play ball each year with the Manayunk Sport and Social Club. Don't let our name fool you, we have coed sports and activities all over Philadelphia including Roxborough, South Philly, Center City, Conshohocken, Plymouth Meeting, Plymouth Whitemarsh, and North East Philadelphia.

     Manayunk Sport and Social Club is a member based organization and our membership is free!  We do not claim to be the most serious coed league but we are definitely the most fun, best organized, and offer the most value to our members.

The Cactus Restaurant and Bar

 

On Wednesday August 27, Cactus Restaurant and Bar located at 4243 Main Street will become Manayunk's newest dining and nightlife destination. Most places in Manayunk look to attract young professionals, but the Cactus will offer a comfortable place for all ages to enjoy.
The Cactus "sophisticated yet fun" concept features southwestern comfort food with a bar featuring hand-crafted speciality cocktails. What sets Cactus apart is that the food is not an after thought, but rather an equal component to the Cactus experience.
The Cactus atmosphere, food and location can only be topped by its design. Exposed brick, rich earth tone colors and a 30 foot stone bar topped with granite are just a few of the amazing features. Away from the bar Cactus has comfortable seating on two floors with upholstered seating and tables. The newest addition to the Manayunk scene is sure to please for years to come.

Fall Registration Ending

     Live Local Cover Bands at The Bayou

        Thursdays at the Bayou,therewill be live acoustic cover bands performing all you favorite shore hits to get you ready for the weekend. While they are playing the tunes, you can enjoy $2 top shelf drinks including Red Bull, $2 import and domestic bottles and drafts from 10pm-12am. Plus $2 meatball sandwiches all day!

 What is Sunday FUNDAY?

     The glorious holiday at the end of every week to celebrate the end of a long and tiring 6 days. On this day, its observers are to completely relax in whichever way they see fit. If it consists of throwing back some beers with friends, playing board games in a park, or indulging in any other substances with peers, it is a full day of fun and relaxation. Most events start in the early afternoon, and end in time for all participants to get to bed at a reasonable hour to prepare for the beginning to yet another long week.  The MSSC can recommend the best way to do this:

 Start out early at the CACTUS CANTINA for the best brunch that Manayunk has to offer with 1/2 priced Sangria & fruit infused mimosas and then go right next door to the Bayou for the BIG show- NFL Sundays where the Bayou has the NFL Ticket on 25 tv's with EVERY game and $1.50 drafts, $2 Miller Lite bottles and $4 pizza.  You deserve to relax with us!!!
